This book depicts the history of the Group C sports cars between 1982 and 1992. It was the last big decade of sports car racing - big not only due to the amazing victories of Porsche, Sauber-Mercedes and Jaguar but also due to the enormous diversity regarding the technical concepts pursued in Group C and the interesting cars built in the Group C Junior and C2. Many racing legends such as Jacky Ickx, Jochen Mass, Derek Bell and Hans-Joachim Stuck, Jean-Louis Schlesser and Klaus Ludwig sat behind the steering wheels joined by their colleges Stefan Bellof, Manfred Winkelhock Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Karl Wendlinger and Michael Schumacher. The book honours all teams and drivers, looks behind the scenes of prototype development and also looks into the IMSA series. Legendary Porsche engineers Peter Falk, Walter Näher and Norbert Singer give their personal insights as well as Jochen Mass, one of the most successful sports cars drivers, who wrote the foreword for this unique book.
