Product description
GTA: acronym for Gran Turismo Alleggerita. Three letters engraved in the collective memory of all fans – and not only – of the world of car racing.
Much has been said about the life and successes of the legendary Biscione car. This book, however, focusses on the least known part of its history: the project, the technical aspects, the mechanical evolution and, finally, its extraordinary palmares, unique in the history of motorsport.
The authors – Vladimir Pajevic, passionate about the Alfa Romeo brand and gentleman-driver of the time, and Gian Luigi Picchi, great champion of Italian motorsport and winner of the European Touring Car Championship in 1972 with the GTA – have created a real vademecum, with the aim of answering, in a simple and clear way, all the most common (and less common) questions about GTA.
Although it is a text with a technical cut, the volume is also accessible to a non-specialised audience, thanks to the exhibition clarity and the presence of all the relevant technical data, chassis numbers and the direct driving experience of Gian Luigi Picchi, one of the best interpreters of the legendary car in its glory days.
