Sauro Mingarelli "Il Rosso”. Red like many of the Ferraris that have passed through his workshop in Bologna that, from the early Sixties to the present day, has been an authentic worldwide point of reference for enthusiasts of the Prancing Horse and other marques. In his long career as an “independent”, Mingarelli, the man, the mechanic, the enthusiast capable of winning over a figure as charismatic as Enzo Ferrari, worked on almost all the road-going and racing Ferraris to come out of the Maranello factory. Moreover, his workshop, run together with his business partner and fried Rizzoli, has been a Mecca for collectors, enthusiasts and great drivers such as Clay Regazzoni, with whom “Il Rosso” has establish profound and enduring relationships.
Lastly, it is thanks to Mingarelli’s great skill and professionalism, many of the classic cars currently conserved in the Motor Valley museums have been restored to their former glories.
