GIACOMO AGOSTINI IMMAGINI DI UNA VITA/A LIFE IN PICTURES - COPIA FIRMATA DA GIACOMO AGOSTINI! / SIGNED COPY BY GIACOMO AGOSTIN!

Fifteen world championships in the 350 cc and 500 cc classes, 18 Italian national titles (175, 250, 350 and 500 cc), 311 victories in world championship races of which 123 were world championship counters and 10 wins in the legendary TT. That is the incredible record of Giacomo Agostini, achieved between 1962, the year in which he won his first race at Bologna-San Luca on a Morini Settebello, and 1977 when he took the win at Hockenheim on a Yamamoto in the 750 cc class.
Agostini – just about everyone calls him Ago – was the greatest racing motorcyclist ever, and today he has decided to review his magnificent career again by bringing together the greatest, most significant photographs of his life in a book. The debut on the Morini, the golden years with MV and the less dazzling period with Yamaha, his experience as a team manager as well as his family, friends and his fleeting appearance on four wheels; these are the chapters that comprise this work, which has never previously been attempted.

GILLES VILLENEUVE IMMAGINI DI UNA VITA/A LIFE IN PICTURES- COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

Foreword by Ercole Colombo.

Six victories, two pole positions, eight fastest laps and 13 podium places. Statistics that are anything but striking. In Formula 1 today, there are drivers who have won a great deal more, at least according to bare numbers. But Gilles Villeneuve can’t be evaluated like that, because there is no way of measuring excitement. Even though he has been dead for over 30 years, the legend of the little Canadian, who was killed on 8 May 1982, is still imbued with such emotion. Gilles the “Aviator” as Enzo Ferrari nick-named him, the only driver of the period for whom the expression “Villeneuve Fever” was coined. His “crazy flight” at Fuji in 1977, his first GP win at home in Canada in 1978, the unforgettable 1979 season followed by a year of purgatory, his epic success at Monaco in 1981 and the in-house duel with Didier Pironi at Imola in 1982 and that last “crazy flight” at Zolder. Snapshots of a story that smacks of legend, one that is relived again today in this book, packed with previously unpublished pictures and written by Mario Donnini, a professional journalist and author of the Ayrton Senna volume in the same series.

GUIDO ERGO SUM - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

"What would you do if you were in a car with the President of the Chamber Boldrini"? The answer is obvious for Siegfried: "I would do the driver." Psychologist, and expert pilot road safety, investigates the human soul at the wheel of a car by mixing philosophy and psychology, technical guidance and wisdom of the ancient Greeks and Romans. "Can a driver be also wise"? It must be, because security at the wheel is "A Mental Balance". Paradoxical that these psychological and philosophical reflections arrive from a Formula One driver, but this gives them a deep introspective capacity, with a simple and smooth language that blends perfectly with the pure driving technique. Siegfried Stohr, born in 1952, was a young pilot of the Italian National Karting in 1970 and 1971, then he graduated in psychology (with honors) in Padua and has worked as a psychologist in the social and health services for five years before turning to race. Italian champion of Formula 3 and Formula Italia, he ran the Formula One World Championship in 1981 with Arrows Team. Since 1982 manages the safe driving school "GuidarePilotare" which organizes driving courses for cars, motorcycles and industrial vehicles. from 2014 he is project leader for the BMW Driving Experience. A lover of philosophy and Roman history he has investigated like no other the depths of the human soul at the wheel of a car.

HONDA CB 750 FOURS - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

In a list of the 10 most significant motorcycles in two-wheel history, there is no doubt that the Honda 750 must take one of the top places. But it would also be included if the list were to be whittled down to five models – or and even three. Because when the machine went on sale in 1969, it radically changed the world motorcycle panorama. If two wheeled machines were seen as a mere substitute for the car in previous decades, a spartan vehicle and, with rare exceptions, one of little fascination, a revolution took place with the arrival of the Four.
Now, the motorcycle – this motorcycle – is even preferred to an open sports car in that it is a vehicle of enthusiasts’ dreams due to its extremely modern appearance and high performance: for the first time, a production bike was capable of 200 kph. The technical content was extraordinary, with its 4-cylinder engine, which had previously been reserved for racing, the front disc brake and its five speed gearbox. On top of that, the machine had an electric starter, a feature that alone pushed many a “motorcyclist” into buying it, people who until that day would never have dreamt of giving up their 4-wheel transport the day before the Four came out. Competition was off-guard, so the arrival of the 750 meant the opposition immediately aged at least 10 years. And if that’s not a revolution…

IL CAVALLINO NEL CUORE - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

For the first time, one of the major names in Italian car design tells his story from the beginning; from when he made his first sketches on paper, unbeknown to his parents and not only of cars, to reaching a point at which his name became synonymous with some of the best known and most important cars on the international front. In his 23-year career at Pininfarina, Leonardo Fioravanti, who was first a designer and architect, then managing director and director general of ’Studi & Ricerche’ department, created some of the most beautiful Ferraris of all time; they ranged from the 1965 250 LM sports coupé Speciale to the immortal 1968 Daytona through to the 1975 308 GTB and GTS and the 1984 288 GTO, as well as the P5 and P6 of 1968. While continuing his Ferrari essay during his Pininfarina career, Fioravanti also guided the creation of numerous other projects, among them the Dino road car, the 1980 Pinin four-door prototype and went on to the 1984 Testarossa and the 1987 F40. Images of an epoch, designs from his own personal archive never previously seen and, above all, a passionate first person account. Those are the key elements of this outstanding book which, through the creations of Leonardo Fioravanti, covers over 50 years of the history of automobile style and culture.

“The dream is still possible: this is the message I would like transmit to the young, even the really young, because it is from that age that one begins to design cars. Having had the good fortune to realise my dream, I tell my story as a designer at Pinin Farina, Ferrari, Fiat and Fioravanti with the duty of a witness. You must want to be a designer very much, think and aim always at that and only that, without pretense or deviation through much suffering, which would not be so painful, however, because the conceptual satisfaction, above all, would be so intense and intimate and contemporaneous and global that they would compensate for the hardness of life.’ Leonardo Fioravanti

IL GRANDE LIBRO DELLE PICCOLE FIAT - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

The small car category is the one that has made Fiat’s reputation over the course of its long history. The Turin-based firm has, in fact, been the undisputed leader of Italian motorization thanks to economical, efficient and reliable products that permitted car ownership to spread ever wider. The idea of the car for all took shape after the First World War with models such as the 509 and the 508 Balilla and flourished in 1936 with the 500 Topolino, Italy’s first true utility car. The post-war period saw the consecration of the popular car in the form of the 600 that was immediately followed by the peerless 500. The tradition continued with the 850, the modern front-wheel drive 127 and the 126. The flair of Giorgetto Giugiaro was then responsible for the protagonists of the 1980s: the hugely successful Panda and Uno. Passing by way of the Cinquecento, the Seicento and the various incarnations of the Punto, the book also presents the current models: the Nuova Panda, the Grande Punto and the brand-new 500. Equipped with exception contemporary photographic documentation and detailed technical files for each model, the book recounts the story and development of Turin’s small cars, paying attention to technical aspects as well as the close ties with the social conditions and customs of a period in which they have played a key role in Italian life.

LA FERRARI SECONDO FORGHIERI: DAL 1947 A OGGI- COPIA FIRMATA DA M. FORGHIERI! / SIGNED COPY BY M. FORGHIERI!

Many of the Ferrari single seaters and sports racers that won world championships were born of the imagination of Mauro Forghieri and designed by him. That was the case with the John Surtees 1964 158 F1 and the unbeatable Ts of the Lauda-Regazzoni era. The same can be said of the 250 P, the 330 P3 and P4, as well, naturally, as the 312 ‘PB’, the unquestioned protagonists among the sports racing cars of the 1960s and 1970s. The life of the outstanding Mauro Forghieri is told in this book, in which noted stories, especially those that have remained unpublished for years, intertwine in an riveting narrative, supported by a wealth of absolutely unpublished illustrations, a large portion of which come from the publisher’s archives.

LANCIA BETA MONTECARLO - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

The Lancia Beta was inaugurated in 1972 with the launch of the saloon. The range was expanded three years later by the addition of the “Beta Montecarlo”, a model that soon became part of the Italian motoring history. Introduced at the 1975 Turin Motor Show, the new coupé immediately attracted public interest and admiration for its authentic sporting character, confirmed by its assertive and fascinating body, designed by Pininfarina, and in its two-litre, 118 hp engine. It was no coincidence that the newborn enjoyed a busy racing career: the Group 5 turbo version even enabled Lancia to beat Porsche and win the World Championship for Makes in both 1980 and 1981. This book is entirely devoted to the history of the Beta Montecarlo, covering the technical and stylistic evolution of the various series and, naturally, the coupé’s successful motor racing life – a book that just had to become one of the series focusing on cars that have made history.

MILLE MIGLIA 1957 LE CLASSI MINORI/THE MINOR CLASSES - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

The 24th and final edition of the Mille Miglia, held on the 11th and 12th of May 1957, has passed into history above all due to the tragic circumstances of the accident involving de Portago and Nelson’s Ferrari 335S, which crashed in the latter stages of the race near Mantua. It was however, also a race characterised by a bitter struggle amongst the Maranello marque’s drivers, a duel that never happened with Moss and Jenkinson’s Maserati 450S and the last career win for Piero Taruffi. Behind all this, there was also another story, one equally as fascinating and rich in incident, that of the crews racing in the minor classes: from the Tuned Touring and the 750 classes to the Gran Turismo and Sport 750 and 1000 categories. This previously neglected story of "little" cars and almost unknown drivers is recounted by Carlo Dolcini, a painstaking and accurate historian, who has reconstructed in engrossing detail the “minor” episodes of those days, drawing on a wealth of photographic documentation.

MILLE MIGLIA 1957 L’ULTIMO ATTO DI UNA CORSA LEGGENDARIA - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

Carlo Dolcini MILLE MIGLIA 1957. Last act in a legendary race ISBN: 978-88-7911-532-2 Price: € 40,00 Size: 24.3x27 - Pages: 144 - Pictures: in b/w and colour - Hardbound - Text: Italian-English 1957: the last Mille Miglia. It was the tragedy of Cavriana, the crash of the Alfonso de Portago-Ed Nelson Ferrari 335S and the 11 bodies on the asphalt that wrote the last page in the story of this fascinating yet dangerous road race. But the 1957 marathon was the most enthralling of them all, enlivened by the contentious battle between the drivers brought together in a single team by Enzo Ferrari and that culminated in victory for Piero Taruffi, who retired from racing after winning the “most beautiful race in the world”. A race the story of which is told mile after mile in this book, using the unfolding news of the Brescia-Rome-Brescia marathon, but also the testimonies of the protagonists, behind the scenes happenings, the cars, the men and women. And extraordinary pictures, many previously unpublished. All against a backdrop of Italy in the late ‘50s and an unforgettable era of motor racing. This is the first in a series of books which will tell the stories of all the post war Mille Miglias over the next few years, ranging from the 1947 race to the tragic 1957

MILLE MIGLIA IMMAGINI DI UNA CORSA/ A RACE IN PICTURES - COPIA FIRMATA DALL’AUTORE! / SIGNED COPY BY THE AUTHOR!

For 30 years from 1927 until 1957 the real Mille Miglia was the “race of excellence”. A unique event of over 1,600 kilometres across Italy, the stars of which were some of the world’s greatest car manufacturers, among them Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz, Maserati, Ferrari, Jaguar and Aston Martin. And their cars were driven, naturally, by some of the equally great champions of the time, like Tazio Nuvolari, Achille Varzi, through to Juan Manuel Fangio and Stirling Moss as well as Alberto Ascari, Clemente Biondetti, Piero Taruffi and many others. Count Giannino Marzotto won the race twice in Ferraris in 1950 and 1953 and said the Mille Miglia was “a synthesis of dynamism, freedom, challenge, courage and calculation”. The story, or better the stories, of that legendary race live again in this book, which tells the tales of the classic “Bresciana”, first of all through hundreds of pictures, most of them unpublished and coming from the Novafoto-Sorlini Archive, an important collection featuring the shots taken by the official race photographer Alberto Sorlini, between 1947 and 1957. The text has been written by Leonardo Acerbi, who also wrote “Mille Miglia Story 1927-1957”.

MOMO ITALY 50 YEARS 1964-2014 - COPIA FIRMATA DA JOHN SURTEES / SIGNED COPY BY JOHN SURTEES!

FOREWORD BY JOHN SURTEES. Man, racing driver, entrepreneur. Three terms that well describe Gianpiero Moretti, creator of Momo half a century ago, a company of Italian excellence in the production of steering wheels, racing suits and car components from 1964 to today. The historic marque decided to celebrate this important anniversary with a book that covers the salient stages of its development and consolidation, as well as Moretti’s long and prestigious motor racing career. The company’s association with Ferrari dates back to the ‘60s, when the Prancing Horse adopted Momo steering wheels for Formula 1; the prolific IMSA experience, first with the Porsche 935 and then the Ferrari 333 SP, to its current involvement in the official Momo team. Then there was the far-reaching production of steering wheels and rims for production cars and the lively, colourful advertising campaigns that branded half a century of communications. Those are just some of the chapters that comprise this book, born of close collaboration with the company.
